To the original question would this make a good Expo Rig.
I’ve had a “99 4runner since new and now have 153,000 miles. The truck is very comfortable confident on road trips, handles windy mountain roads very well, and in stock form performs very closely to a stock wrangler on the trail. Is the most confident vehicle on snowy roads I’ve ever owned (I’ve had trucks, jeeps, Subaru) and is as reliable as a hammer (so far outside of routine maintenance I’ve replaced an oxygen sensor and 2 AC buttons; go figure on AC buttons)
I say put a RRT, some all terrains and winch on it and call it one the best Expo rigs out there!!
