A Defender 130 and Route 66

Having to take a quick business trip to Los Angeles last week, we thought that it would be much more interesting to take Route 66 (or at least the remaining sections) back to Las Vegas. As you can see there is still plenty to see. Abandoned gas stations, motels, and stores stand frozen in history. Enjoy the photos!

I could just look at pictures of your 130, but Route 66 has always been on my "to do" list. (retirement!)

So this was the portion of 66 between Needles and LA? Very interesting. That's about the only part of 66 I've never seen. The AZ section through Oatman is a lot of fun. Bring carrots to feed the burros!
