Added a bull bar to my front bumper!

Just thought Id post a few pics of my most recent addition. I wanted to add some protection to the front and for the longest time was just going to add a pre-runner hoop and call it good. I really like the look of the ARB and thought about trying to model one of those but wanted something different. As I looked around the net, I had trouble finding anyone who had added a bull bar to an existing plate bumper, most just add pre-runner hoops. I had the rectangle tube laying around from old Jeep sliders I made and grabbed a 10' stick of Sch40 from Lowes. I know everyone has their opinion on Sch40 pipe, but I already have a cheapo Harbor Freight bender so it did the job. Maybe my next purchase will be a good bender, or plasma cutter.....aaaaah, too many toys :)

Anyway, heres the important part of the post.....hope you like it.

Thats my dog taking my wife for a nice drive through the mountains lol

I would like to, my best bet would probably be to try and integrate a receiver into the front and do a multi-mount type carrier. I would rather do that than chop up the bumper to try and fit one inside the bumper but who knows.

Yeah, AJ made both my bumpers. Looking back I should have just gotten the winch bumper but oh well, live and learn right. Fortunately insurance paid for both so I was pretty pleased with that :) BTW is AJ and/or BentUp still around? Havent seen or heard much about them lately.

6 cyl with stock gears. A little slow off the line and through the mountain passes but nothing I cant deal with.

Great looking bumper....Did you build the bottom part as well?

I sure loved my receiver that i put into my ARB with my Warn portable setup. Great option if you need a tug from the rear!

AJ opened a shop/area a couple of years ago but closed. I think he does stuff on the side more than anything now.

No I bought the front and rear after being in 2 separate accidents. I only added the bull bar/grill guard/whatever you call it on top. I also want to trim the bed and add on to the rear bumper so it wraps around, similar to yours. EDIT: sorry i meant similar to flyinwil's, i got your trucks mixed up.

Yeah, I thought multi mount winch would be a nice, versatile solution. For example, this weekend my wife told me not to go any further down this snowy trail.....and I did. When I was stuck, I would have really liked a rear winch lol (insert smiley with wife smacking husband upside head)
