Adding fresh water tank level indicator

I'm curious if anyone has retrofitted a fresh water tank for level indications. I see one style that uses four sensors which require you to drill four holes on the side of your tank but are there any other kits that are less invasive? I have a 20g tank that I'd like to know the level or % of water left during camping.

Thanks.

For plastic tanks there are moda type sensors. The wall thickness cannot be over 1/4" if it is a fitting needs to be installed in the top of the tank for a custom made internal sensor

Once a hole needs to be drilled this is an option

I have the See Level II system from Garnet and it uses a strip that is secured to the outside of the tank.
Mine also has a monitor for black and grey water, battery and propane.
It's easy to install and uses percentage which is very accurate.
Not the cheapest solution, but if you want to monitor other things it's nice.

Thank you gents, I'll check them out. Curious, how do the propane level indicators work, similarly as the water levels, I presume? I didn't think about monitoring both until this thread but that seems to be a normal thing in the RV world.

I'd rather spend the money once and be able to monitor few things from one readout. So, for now, I can see monitoring LPG level, Fresh water level and battery charge. The solar charge comes with its own monitoring deal so that's fine, I'd think.

Edit: my fresh water tank is plastic.

Propane tanks can only be monitored with the Tech-Edge or Garnet displays if the tank already has a sender inside the tank.

ASME (bolted to the vehicle) tanks have senders.

This is the best way to monitor a DOT (portable) tank.
