By the way Onetime, how many did your class start with and how many did you end with? We started with 90 people in the class. We are finishing with just 20. Definitely not a "zero to hero" class here. They have washed out everyone that hasnt proven themselves.

Sorry guys been super busy the last two weeks. 11-20-09 was my 39th birthday. For my present I delivered our baby girl Kendal Rae at 1451 hours. 3 nights in the hospital. One extra night to for treat for a bit of juandice. Got home Sunday the 23rd, drive out to Ca that Monday to pick up my two daughters. Had a short spinal bifida scare. (All is well, it was rulled out!) Graduated on Weds the 25th. Turkey day the 26th. Father in laws and my dads Birthdays the 27th. Snuck in a quick mtn bike ride the 28th. Took girls back to Ca the 30th. Haven't slept more then 4 hrs straight in two weeks. LIFE IS GOOD!

Now I just have to hit the books and prep for my CBT NRT test. Over half my class have already taken it and passed. One failed. But he retakes it this next week. I took some time off to enjoy the baby and family over the holiday. But I need to get cracking while its all fresh.

We started with 21 students. One quit the first week for family matters. Everyone else did really well, except for one guy who had never should have been in the class. I dont think hill ever get passed the CBT.

Ill let you guys know when I take the test.

Wow, you have definitely been busy. I havnt had a day off but it sounds like you have had a lot more going on. Its funny that your class ended up with the same amount of people at graduation as ours did, and we started out with so MANY. I think a few factors came into to play with that. For one, all public safety education in NC is essentially free. So anyone with an EMT cert can sign up. Also, the school I was at has one of the best medic schedules in the state. So a lot of folks want to get in the program. They make up for the ease of getting in to the program by washing out anyone who doesnt need to be there. So, really high attrition rate, but 100% certification pass rate on the first try.

Thanks for the "advice from all you medics" out there. Today I passed my final and I am officially a paramedic graduate! :wings: I feel like a huge load has been taken off of my shoulders. I work 24-72s and I have no idea what I am going to do with my time! I feel like I am retired!
I will be taking my certification test in January. Im not too worried about that. Everyone says if we can pass the class final then we can definitely pass the state.
