Air Leak Question

I think I have finally located my air leak. My compressor body is leaking. Not anywhere it can be rebuilt either. Not terribly but leaking. Would this cause the vehicle to settle overnight? A rover mechanic that I trust said that it would but I want to confirm this with someone. I would have thought that the compressor would be isolated from the rest of the system, so that if it does leak, the system will not leak. Any feedback is appreciated. Thanks

It should not cause a drop in the suspension when the engine is off. At that point, your valve blocks are closed and the compressor/air tank is isolated from the shocks. The only thing that the car is able to do at that point is to release air from a shock in order to level the car. Do you have a tool like a Faultmate or IID tool where you can monitor your pressures at different points in the system after the car has been sitting and before you start it up?

I do not have a tool but my mechanic monitored it and found nothing that way. He also checked the whole system as I had and only found the compressor leaking, as I did. He is a 20 year LR mechanic and said that the system is not completely closed and will leak if the compressor body is damaged. I am not sure what to think.
