Air Shocks for pulling trailer

Ok I have a Jeep Cherokee I use only for off-road overlands pulling my "off-road" trailer. Don't want or need to make it a crawler or anything... I have that covered.
The XJ currently runs a 2" puck in the front and an AAL in the rear with 31"x15" AT tires.
With the trailer and on off camber type trails I get rubbing in the rear. I am thinking maybe air shocks for the rear? I could bump them up a bit for the additional weight while towing?
Anyone with experience... pro or con? Nothing fancy just maybe Gabriel type air shocks?

I've used Monroe air shocks for years on various vehicles for temporary load issues like yours. Worked well. I wouldn't want to rely on them for every day heavy loads but a couple day trip etc it usually works out well.

Had some on my old Toyota truck. Hauled my 400 lbs Dakar, camping gear and filled the rest of the long bed w/ firewood and it ran the same level as you see here.

Roger, have you thought about adding firestone or airlift airbags onto the leaf springs? They allow you to adjust for the load you're carrying.

Tony I thought about the bags... I had them on my Titan. I just think they would handle the droop of an off camber type situation harder... and less drop to a bag than shocks I think???
