1974 Alaskan Camper 10’ cab over
Converted to a flatbed version, is approximately 84 “wide and 120” long (not including cab over ). The conversion consists of outside storage where the truck bed would normally be. (see picts.) You will need a 8’ flatbed truck for this and it will hang out over the back approximately 2 feet. This is a heavy camper approximately 2500 pounds. This is meant for a ¾ or 1 ton truck.
I purchased this camper in 2013 and brought it back to a good working camper. Not a restoration to original. The upgrades and work as follows.
Front and sides of camper wood replaced with marine plywood and glued and seal with epoxy
Some new interior paneling
Roof structure was rebuilt with 3” lvl ‘s and re insulated.
New roof hatches
New upholstery
New braces for cabover
Custom mounts for jacks for additional height and width
Outside storage boxes are made of marine plywood and painted with AWLGRIP paint
Rebuilt hydraulic jack system for roof raising (manual)
All new marine grade wiring with blue sea breakers and distribution
Xantrex freedom marine 1500 inverter, battery charger and transfer switch
12 volt automatic charge relay for connecting to vehicle charging system.
1 -90 amh battery (no good )
20 amp shore power
350 amp DC vehicle plug
All interior lighting LED
Cassette toilet
3 burner propane gas cook top
3 way 3 cubic foot refrigerator with freezer
Has heater but NOT functioning properly ,NEEDS A NEW HEATER
32 gallon potable water tank
Separate storage for 20lbs propane tank
New copper propane gas lines
New propane regulator
There are more things that have been improved. If you are familiar with Alaskan Campers most of the common problems have been addressed. This camper has been great to us and is looking for a new adventure. Serious inquires only please. The Camper is currently shrink wrapped in storage.
