All new Nissan Patrol for 2011

Autoblog has an article about the 2011 Nissan Patrol. It's been thoroughly
redesigned for the 2011 model year.

The Patrol follows the path taken by the Toyota Land Cruiser. The new
model is larger, more luxurious, and more comfortable. Front suspension
is now independent. Traction aids are electronic.

The good news is that the Patrol is scheduled to be sold in USA as an Infiniti
model, replacing the current SUV based on the Nissan Armada. Power will be
provided by a 5.6-liter gas V8 (400 hp and 405 ft-lbs).

I like the looks of the new Patrol more than the current Land Cruiser, which looks too
much like a Highlander for my taste. Time for Overland Journal to start working
to schedule a comparison test between these vehicles.

There's irony in the fact that Nissan didn't bother bringing this vehicle to North America until after they neutered it.

I saw them at the local Nissan dealership in Kuwait. They are massive. :Wow1:

Very luxurious... I guess that's why they'll be sold as an Infiniti model.

Yes, they have IFS and IRS. They are not really designed to go off road.

More of a luxury land yacht.
