Alu-Cab Shadow Awning Install on Jeep JKU Gobi Stealth Rack

Hoping to get some help/suggestions on a couple of minor issues/questions on my install. I have tried once unsuccessfully to do the installation and removed it due to torquing of the awning from front to back as it seems the brackets want to slide around the Gobi rack tubing.

I have (3) of the FourTreks brackets specific to installing the Shadow Awning on the Gobi Rack. There are (3) sets of holes at the pivot point for all the awning arms. I am thinking of using the outer set of holes for one bracket, skip the next set and then install the other bracket on the last set of holes (closest to the front of the awning). Is this a good plan? I tried the two most inner ones, and it wants to slide around the tubing when opened.

Where is the suggested installation of the front bracket? I tried it as far forward on the Stealth rack as possible. This may have been the cause of the torquing when opened.

Additionally, the front portion of the awning is not completely vertical due to the angle of the front of the Stealth rack as it bends slightly outward to go to the windshield mount. This could also contribute to the torquing.

Finally, the order in which I secured the FourTreks brackets was awning adapter to the awning, brackets to the rack tubing and then connected the adapter to the bracket. I found it difficult to fully tighten the adapter to the bracket. I'm thinking of changing it so I attach the adapter plus the front half of the bracket already attached to the awning, hoist it up and then secure the back half of the bracket to the assembly.

I could try to do this as outlined but thought I would take a step back and ask for the expertise of the group to help cut down on work.

Not sure if you also emailed, but the best example of a GOBI JKU rack install can be found at post 151 http://forum.expeditionportal.com/threads/153957-Alu-Cab-Has-Landed-In-The-USA!/page16 .
