Not sure if their is a how-to section to throw this in but figured id best post this up here.

I picked up a YJ grill a few months back and it has been sitting in my garage ever since collecting dust. This weekend I finally had time to break it out and complete this project.

I went to the store and bought some red white and blue paint, some tape, two light sockets with a plug attached and some star stickers.

-Make sure the first color is white
-Tape the white stripes off and keep the upper left square white
-Hit the rest with a few coats of red
-put the star stickers in the white square
-Paint blue over the white square
-Remove tape

For the black lights I bent the tab in the headlight sockets flat and used two washers to sandwich the tab and hold the light bulb sockets in place.

I have a more detailed write-up with step by step pictures on my website if your interested in doing this.

Yikes! Is it 1969 again? How did that happen? *

;-) Ok, I like it. In 1969, I would have used much more blacklight, just to max out the "Groovy" vibe in my room, but I like it...

*Does Nixon win again, this time around?
