Angled stinger extention for cargo carrier?

I have one of the basic hitch cargo carriers. I'm sure you know the type. 500 lb capacity, expanded metal mesh with steel frame. Anywho, I have a 2008 Dodge 2500 with Winchready brand bumpers. I have been looking for a stinger extension that comes up at an angle so it doesn't effect my departure angle as much. Plan on carrying a small generator and some Jerry cans. Anyone seen anything like this? I've been looking online and can't seem to find much. I'm not a welder or I would do it myself as it doesn't seem like it would be real hard to do. Should also mention that I will be carrying a '64 Alaskan 8' Non cab over so my tail gate will be down.

Thanks in advance,
Chris

http://www.etrailer.com/ is usually pretty good for that sort of stuff. They have various hitch adapters, and hitch extenders, and could probably find something or help you figure out exactly what would work for you. They also have cargo carriers of similar type to yours, with varying amounts of rise, extension etc., so should be able to figure out from that what particular combination of hitch risers and/or extenders may work, or sell you a cargo carrier that would work better than what you have, as sold, and then you could sell your current one on e.g. Craigslist to recoup some of the cost.

Find a local welder or trade school to make an extention for you.
draw what you want and have them make it and weld your basket to it.

thanks for the link xbox. Good idea Mark. I will check into that after I get some measurements squared away.
