Neat trip!!

How did the diesel behave starting up in the cold each morning? I'd like to do the trip but the cold kind of makes it lose it's appeal. You need to come down and visit us "Canuck's" in Central America where you don't need parkas, block heaters and all that other cold weather stuff.

The truck ran great. A winter front kept the engine running warm and gave us pleanty of heat in the cab.

Only in Inuvik at -30 did I plug it in at the B&B.... I did bring an extra battery incase I needed a little extra juice.

We would love to head south we have some friends in Costa Rica.

I would like to the Surf and Turf in California than head to the Baja peninsula.

Welcome... always glad to see another cancuck on the forum...
Drew?! Hi there! So why have you not told me about this site? what kind of a friend are you? - also I did sign up to Overland Journal after I saw your copy - awesome! worth every penny!

Todd, I do like that little lunch heater, another thing to add to the Christmas wish list. Do you know if it's available locally, without going through border shipping and duties?

You should be able to find the lunch box cooker at large truck stops. I have seen 12 volt coffee makers and pizza ovens.
