Another LR3 tire question

So I just received a set of 17" steel wheels for my newly acquired 08 LR3 from Lucky Eight and they look great. After reading the latest Expo Journal's tire comparison I think I'll switch from tried and try BFG A/T's to Cooper AT/3's. Anybody had experience with these on an LR3 and what would be your size recommendation? I tend to like a little larger tire but definitely not overkill.

PS I also have a nice overland ready 04 D2 for sale--

AT3s are not very aggressive. If your are putting the money into buying 17 inch tires, go for BFG KM2s. If you wanted AT3s or BFGs, just keep your 18s.

I like the GoodYear Duratrac's. Never had them on my 3 but I run them on my Rangie and Dodge diesel and they perform great on/off road.

I have TOYO OCAT2 on the 3 as it is the wife's daily driver. Really good tyre but like most AT's runs into trouble if you see deep or thick mud.

I agree 100%. Had BFG AT's on my 18's, went with KM2's on my 17's

The 17's are going to poke a bit and you'll look like a Hawaiian truck with a more street tire.

Same diameter as?

Stock?
31.5?
32?

I run a 245/75/17 (31.5) but they are a bit narrow for my taste. Next time around I would go with a 265/70/17 (same 31.5 diameter)

Lucky8 17" Wheels for LR3

So the lucky8 site says "Not DOT" OM the 17s. What do you make of this? Is your plan only to use the 17s for off roading? Did you simply need to replace the brake calipers to the v6 to get the 17s on? Thanks Kent
