16 Years on ExPo. Whoa!!
A Lenz Sport Leviathan 4" travel 29er... Build is:
Wheelset: NoTubes Flow 28mm wide tubeless, DT Swiss 2.0/1.8 Double Butted Comp spokes, 36 hole, Hope Pro II hubs. Weigh in really low at about 1700-1800grams I figure for a complete heavy duty 29er wheelset. Already arrived, hand built by www.lacemine29.com (Mike Curiak / "Mikesee" )
Fork: White Brothers Fluid 110
All ordered today:
Tires: Nevegal 2.2, Panaracer Rampage 2.35 front as fronts,
Bontrager Dry-X 2.1 Rear tire, all tubeless, already setup flawlessly...
Drivetrain: All Shimano: '08 Shimano XT shifters/derailleurs, XT crank, cassette. Not a big "Shimano" fan but these are the best bang/buck and durability combo...
Brakes: BB7 Avid disks, 185 front, 160 rear, SD 7 cable levers. I have had really good results with BB7 and couldn't justify $200+ markup for hydraulics, but I may switch out in the future... I have techniques to lighten these up as well...
Misc components: Thompson swept back seatpost, Truvativ Stem (good ultralight, strong, inexpensive), Titec aluminum 31.8 2.25" rise handlebars...
Build should hopefully come out to about 26-27lbs I figure. These are all mid-high components but sometimes increased weight equals significant durability. The frame is the lightest full suspension 29er at about 5.5 lbs. It uses a exo-skeleton style where the downtube is pressed sheet metal into a form rather than traditional tubing. Super strong, super light... Frame was hand built for me in a XL size with a 1" longer seat tube... I am 6'5 about 230 lbs, teetering on the brink of XXL but I like/am used to a smaller bike. I am psyched, should be here in about two weeks...
It will appear similar to this one (same color, size) except I am getting the rear triangle annodized in silver...
Feel free to ask if you have any questions...
