Any thoughts on value....

I can't seem to find anything regarding the value of an OEM axle for a Dunbar Kapple M100 1/4-ton Jeep trailer. I've looked at both mod sites and restoration sites. I can only assume that they are so scarce that they are quite valuable or so scarce nobody cares. Thoughts?

The answer to your question, as phrased, is "it depends."

Are you talking about just the axle or a complete axle assembly with bearings and brakes? What condition? Who is the potential purchaser? Someone doing a true restoration of their M100 trailer would place more value on an OEM axle than someone building an offroad camping trailer who would like to match the wheels on the trailer to a tow rig that doesn't require a 5 on 5 1/2" lug pattern. To the latter the OEM axle has zero value.

I have the entire thing up to and including the brakes (brake cable was cut this weekend). All of if it worked great when I towed the trailer at 65-70 mph for 100 miles. It's decades old so it does have some surface rust and paint flaking, otherwise the thing is bullet proof. Just had it swapped out this weekend. Has the 5 on 5 1/2 lug. I'd be be willing to part it out if need be. Also have Kelsey-Hayes rims for it fitting NCC 7.00 x 16.0 tires.
