BMD Projects engineering cc. started off in 1999 in the Tsitsikamma - Eastern Cape as a small family operated business consisting of myself, Mickey Vorster the father and my three sons, Michael Vorster, Brendan Vorster and De Wet Vorster.
With only the most essential tools, we started designing and manufacturing equipment for the dairy industry. We designed selffeeders, feeder-hoppers, implements like airrators, rippers and planters.
In 2004 we moved the business to George in the Western Cape, and decided to start specializing in manufacturing of stainless steel and aluminium products. Targeting the industrial, building and domestic market. We do conveyor systems, stainless steel pipework and balistrading.
At the same time in the year 2004, we designed and manufactured our first 4 x 4 all aluminium, stainless steel off road trailer. We applied for registration to manufacture trailers, and it was approved. Soon the trailers became a sought after product.
Due to the fact that we do not produce mass production trailers, we maintain high standard quality workmanship.
We also started with the designing and manufacturing of aluminium flat bottom and pontoon boats.
