I have sent a half dozen emails and called. I got one response and told them what I wanted to order, but never heard back again in spite of serveral more emails.

The person who ran the company seems to have dropped off the face of the earth. I understand that another company has recently taken over and that they have been deciding what to do with the company. It appears that they will get Dormobile Ltd back into business. Give it another month or so to get back into action.

I found that getting in touch with Tim was tough at the best of times (even when I was in England). I know that his email/computer at the shop is poor so I would keep trying to call. Often he was out of the office and back in the shop with only a cordless phone that he may or may not hear so you have to keep trying unless, as Terriann said, they are doing some restructuring.

I get the impression that Tim isn't involved any more and another company is picking up the pieces. I saw a scattering of emails about it recently but due to a home emergency situation didn't pay a whole lot of attention to it beyond noting that it may be a while before I get a new canvas top.

Ron, can you update this thread if you get in touch with them? I need a bunch of crap from them. I was sort of resigned to making it or having it made.

Thanks,

Mark

I understand you have taken over dormobile.co.uk. If this is the case, I would like to place an order.

Please advise.

Best regards,

Ron

Their response:

Good Morning Ron

SHB have owned Dormobile since 2002 but we have had a Manager leave in the last couple of months. You can still use the existing email and phone number if you would like. Can you advise your requirements please.

Regards

Jim Bullock

My reply sent today (presumably too late for a response before monday fingers crossed)

Good Morning Jim,

I have tried that email address, but have not had much luck in getting a response with a total cost with shipping. I got one email back and then emailed several times I need the roof vent and the seal for the roof vent and a set of mid grey bunks (just the material, not the metal assembly). I would need it all shipped to the US.

Best regards,

Ron

Well, it only took six months of inquiries, but I finally got my parts from dormobile.co.uk

I got a set of bunk fabric materials (looks pretty nice but not exactly the fabric I was expecting -- more of a vinyl, I would have preferred something like a twillfast and may send them to Chris at Badger Coachworks to make some for me), the seal for the roof, the seal for the vent and, what I really needed, a new vent cover (more translucent than the original and, I knew this when I bought it, not predrilled for the mechanism).

All and all I am happy to have the parts and the prices and shipping (39 quid -- well that is what they told me - I don't have the amex bill yet) was reasonable.
