Anyone have Mastercraft Courser AXT?

Looking for a new AT tire and was looking at these. I had their winter tires on my old F250 and they were awesome in the snow (of course - they are a winter tire). I had 0 issues but don't know much about these? I hear they are made by Cooper. The tread pattern is like the AT3. I don't drive that much so I was thinking just get these and they should last me 4 years. Any opinions?

If you don't do extreme off-roading, I think you will be fine with those tires. Terra Grapplers are another good option.

Mastercraft is made by Cooper so they are a very similar tire to the AT3. The AXT is slightly more aggressive in appearance than the AT3. I've never run them but they are very popular around here. Solid all terrain with very good winter performance and very competitively priced. If you want something more aggressive check out the new Mastercraft Courser CXT.

Those CXT look really nice but for my use the AXT is all I need. I do need good snow performance as I live in the Colorado high country. But really, I don't do any serious offroad. I am hoping to make a purchase this fall before the snow starts so I will post updates this winter with whatever I end up with. I am leaning towards Mastercraft because of the price.

Do you have any personal experience with those Cooper snow tires? I have ran snow tires year round but they melt in the summer. I was thinking a good AT tire that would do well in the winter. I know that AT tires won't work as well in the snow and ice as a designated winter tire. I do like the price of those Coopers!

Take a look at Hanook ATM's too. I've run several sets and they are great all terrain tires with excellent road manners, good winter performance, long wear, and good prices. I prefer them to the Cooper AT3, which I've also run. They are similar to the Mastercraft AXT. I'd get whichever is cheaper.

I have ran ATM's and liked them. They are usually more expensive than mastercraft. I am on a tight budget these days so looking for a solid tire on the cheap (isn't everyone).

Check the Hankook prices on Discount Tire Direct. I found them cheaper than local prices for the Mastercraft in my size.

I have two different tires that are similar to these. terra trac ATs and westlake ats. both are GREAT AT street tires. I have had my F150 off road a few times and they have good grip for general off roading. IN mud, i highly doubt it. ha ha.

I have about 9 months of experience with the Cooper ATW (255/70R17) on my 2011 Pathfinder. They worked quite well last winter. I never had any trouble with them at all. Much better than the OEM BFGs that were on it. I have not had any issues with premature wear this summer either. I drove through a few days of 150F degree heat even on my way back from a trip. I think the would wear fast at that temp on a regular basis, but I had not issues on my trip.

I would recommend these or the Hankook AT if you want something with the mountain snowflake symbol.

Fargo, I think they are going to be my new winter tires actually...that way I can run 285s all year! ....

Mine in the last 5k, had dropped in tread depth significantly. Deffinetally not as good of rubber compound ad Brand Name Coopers.
