Anyone used the T-max dual battery system?

I don't want to fork over ther 400 for the national Luna system bless I have to. I recently came across this system. It doesn't come with a mile of cable like the nl system does, but it seems like a good deal. Any input?

I know the NL systems are expensive - but they do come pretty complete with all parts. I went with the NL Power Pack to put in my cab. Great setup - came with all the wires and connectors. I really like that it is portable and easy to take with you elsewhere or even put in another car/rig. I don't have experience with the T-max but you are going to have to buy all wiring, etc along with a box or mount.

here someone talked about in install of the t-max: http://forum.ih8mud.com/100-series-cruisers/607791-t-max-dual-battery-install.html

He admits to still spending over $400 on the install not including battery cost.

Yes but that 400 included his $150 slee tray. The nl system does not come with the tray.

I guess I need to be a little more specific. Does anyone know what the real performance differences are between the two kits?

I am not an electrician expert, not at all. All I can tell is that when I've got my Disco 2 (td5) it already had the T-max dual battery system installed. I am also using Varta promotive black as the main battery plus Optima Yellow Top as the auxiliary. From time to time I put a heavy on them , powering my electric winch.
Anyway, everything went fine till now.
