Katherine and I headed out to Anza Borrego State Park for a little off road action. We had a great time, only got misdirected once or twice. Spent about six hours running around. Entered from Imperial Highway just west of the Badlands overlook, went through Canyon sin Nombre, east along the creek bed towards the Carizo Impact area, turned around when we got to mud and water. Went back west along the creek bed and headed NW up the Arroyo Tapiado, cut over to the Arroyo Seco del Diablo and then dropped down to Fish Creek. Followed that up through Split Mountain, took a detour up a small hill and got on Split Mountain road and headed home.
Again the truck did good. I did manage to scrape the receiver hitch cover up, but that's it.
Here are a few pictures:
The creek bed
A Jack Rabbit
Another Jack Rabbit, we saw 6 or 7
Actually using the map
Lyle: Come on, boys! The way you're lollygaggin' around here with them picks and them shovels, you'd think it was a hundert an' twenty degree. Can't be more than a hundert an' eleven*.

Lots and lots of fun!
Cheers,
