Anza Borrego & Ocotillo Wells

Well I got out of town early on saturday for a quick run through Anza Borrego and Ocotillo Wells. I hit up the pumpkin patch, seventeen palms, historic Truckaven Trail and Coyote Canyon. The weather wasn't too bad either, maybe 91 at the most. Other than a few jack rabbits and a pack of coyotes, I pretty much had the whole desert to myself until the end of the run.

Borregowrangler, nice pics. You mention being alone but you have a pic of five vehicles? I have not explored Anza nearly as much as I would like to, hopefully we can meet up on the trail one day.

Take care and thanks again for sharing

Hey, thanks. That would be great.

Yeah, I was on my own but I ran into several groups out enjoying the day.

Nice photos John!
I need to get out to Anza more often.

So... Did you turn around on Coyote? That Tundra didn't even have the 4WD badging on the tailgate, and he was tearing up the trail pretty good.

Hey, thanks. Yeah the Tundra was 2WD. No way he was making it up there. He ended up backing down. I turned around too. I had just wanted to check out boulder alley. The 4WD's did a little better. It looks like with all the traffic since the park smashed up a bunch of the rocks, there are now a few loose, low traction areas heading up. Before, you got a pretty good grip on those rocks. not so much anymore.
