ARB air compressor to sPod <J-WIRE>. Finally a solution!

ARB+sPod+J-WIRE=no more wasted wiring harness.

Ok, so you got your sPod in your ride. You just installed your ARB air compressor to finally get that long awaited On Board Air. ARB hooks you up with a fairly big wiring harness that can activate up to 2 air lockers. But what about us guys with electronic air lockers? Technically you only need 1 wire from the whole harness. That's a lot of waisted material that you might need later. Or why not sell that brand new harness for around $40+.

The wire that plugs into the compressor has 3 wires that continue into the wiring harness, but only one is actually needed if using an sPod, the switch wire. I have assembled such a wire and dubbed it the J-WIRE. I have put together an exact replica of the factory wire with the same Delphi connectors using a Delphi crimp tool. These are water proof and factory grade.

Selling them for $14 with free 1st class shipping. PM me anytime with any questions or orders.

Note: these are not the sPod ARB adaptors sold by sPod. Those adaptors connect to the harness and then your sPod. Mine connects directly from the compressor to the sPod switch of your choice.

Package will include the following all of which are professionally assembled.

(1) 150 Series Metri-Pack Connector
(1) 150 Series Metri-Pack Secondary Lock
(1) 150 Series Metri-Pack Cable Seal
(1) 150 Series Metri-Pack Terminal
(2) 150 Series Metri-Pack Cable Cavity Plugs
(1) 1 foot long purple 18 gauge wire
(1) 18 gauge waterproof spade connector

All these industrial components will come fully and professionally assembled . Thanks for your support.

I like this.

Let me make sure I understand what this is for, too early here lol.

I have an ARB compressor. No need to use it for lockers because I have a rear elocker and have no interest in a front locker in the future.

This will eliminate the need for that spaghetti bowl harness that comes with the dual arb compressor.

This plugs directly into the ARB compressor and the horseshoe end into the spod controller..

Questions are:

Can I use this on a dual ARB?

Can I request longer wire?

Hey Snapdrive,

Yes, i designed this to go along with the dual air compressor and e-lockers.

The "spaghetti bowl harness" (aka Part number: ARB-180409) is not needed if not using air lockers. The single J-Wire will do the work of the entire harness.

Can I use this on a dual ARB? YES

Can I request longer wire? YES

I have these listed HERE on ebay as well and here is the details on longer wiring

**The 1 foot long J-Wire worked great for my own rig with the ARB twin compressor mounted under the hood, next to the sPod. If you need a longer wire feel free to let me know and I will custom make a longer one at no extra charge up to 3 Feet. Longer than that will be an extra $1 per foot of wire.

Let me know if you have any other questions or want to place an order. Cheers.

Installed pics

Here are some pics of the J-Wire installed in my Rig. Connected to the 6th switch positive terminal. It works great.

I am still undecided whether I would go with the SPOD or a bussman fuse box.

Hmm...Would I be able to use this with a Bussman fuse box also?

I am not sure what the Bussman fuse box is all about but if there is a spot with a switched power supply then I am sure it would work just fine.

Where is the compressor grounded at?
I believe it's grounded through the bigger wires that are on the other harness. Since the sPod is also grounded, to turn on the compressor all that is needed is power on the red wire of the pressure switch from the isolation switch. This is what the J-Wire does in eccense. If wanted, I can include a ground wire but it is not needed.

I know this is a VERY old thread, but are you still making these by chance?? Thanks!

Yes sir! Making them all the time. Since moving to eBay not much action here, but a few over the last month or so. Hit me up with what you need.

Cheers.

Whoops! I missed your eBay link. I will take a gander over there.

If I needed something longer than your standard 1 foot length, do I add it in a comment on the eBay purchase or is better to go through this forum for that?
