ARB D1 Winch Bumper?

I want to get myself an ARB non srs whinch bumper for my 96 300 tdi disco. I've never seen one in the flesh lol... They're a bit of a rarity here in Ireland so would need to import a used one from either the UK or further away, therefore I want to be sure it'll meet my needs as they command a premium price compared to other options.

Would anybody have any dimensions so I can judge how far it'll stick out?

Don't want to compromise the approach angles etc.

I've a superwinch X9 that I hope it will fit.

Does the whinch bolt to the bumper or a seperate cradle?

I'm looking for the height of the main bumper section (not realy concerned about the tubing parts) in the middle between the chassis rails & what it tapers down too at the edges, and depth / what distance it would stick out top and bottom from the front of the grill in the middle and the outer edges, & what it tapers down too at the edges.

Many Thanks.

Almost all ARBs for discos compromise approach angle. They stick out quite far.

Most definitely they do. I've mangled mine a number of times on rocks and ledges. Had it straightened and strengthened and straightened again but still crushed it again. They are weak and crush easily. Now I just leave it crushed as it is. If I had it to do over again I would get something else. There are better front bumper/bull bars that don't stick out like a sore thumb. Get something else.

This.

I was given mine so I used it but they are weak compared to other things out there and really do stick out like a plough at the front. I wouldn't pay money for one if I could get something else for near the same price.

I know you're in Ireland and your choices are probably limited but if you have to ship from somewhere, maybe consider RTE/RockWare/HLC Fab or others before you pay similar money for an ARB.

Does your Disco have SRS? If so, will a non-SRS compatible bumper pass MOT?
Here in the US there are no rules regarding it so it's a non-issue, but the story I've been told is that in Australia, where ARB is, you can't install a non-compliant bumper on SRS equipped vehicles.
