Dreamin...

And the cost would be....

Seriously though - a 10' bed would be just right for a custom flatbed Alcan camper (the later version as opposed to the heavier wooden model Alaskan) sized (widthwise) and a new 16" AT405 style tire in 44"x 18.5" and incorporate an Atlas (or equivalent) transfer case for extra-low range selections so you had highway, off-road and crawl ranges. Just make the winch less of an approach angle problem or better yet replace with a hydraulic MileMarker/Foers Vector type midframe mounted winch to pull either direction (1:1 forward, 2:1 rearwards) and traverse sideslopes in 'cablecar' mode like the IBEX does.

I'm curious too

Hotlinking the pic from the Arctic Truck site? Or the same for the patent. Interesting idea on the patent though, I've wondered how to sink the winch in the rear passenger footwell for COG reasons and have the ability to pull in both directions.

I am guessing that it was because the person posting this thread was from Arctic Trucks and was new to the forum.
I think the mods just wanted to make sure it was not advertising.

I am not a mod, so this is just a guess.

Observer
My username could have easily mistakenly identified as 'Arctic Trucks' and given it was my first post, the mods suspected something 'fishy'. The AT Europe username actually refers to the fact that we are Adventure Trailers European distributors. We are in no way connected to Arctic Trucks other than fans of their work.

Here's some more pics from a trip I did with them last summer over the neighbouring glacier that brought the sky's over the Europe to a standstill.

During this visit the 6x6 was in the workshop undergoing development. They told us that the truck had been developed in response to requests from "a military user"....
