Warm fall temperatures and the promise of the seasons changing leaves was all the excuse my wife and I needed to head "up north" with our daughter Astrid this past weekend. Due to her nap schedule at 10 months old we left late and met my brother and some friends 3 hours north of Toronto near Ardbeg, Ontario.
We unfolded the Eezi-Awn on the shores of a small lake and spent most of the two days in camp with Astrid while the others hit the trail. Sunday morning we followed a rough track which ran over the exposed rock of the Canadian shield. Half hour in we turned around - too rough for Astrid's level of head control.
