Are 0” drop trailer made?

I’ve never really cared much about a couple inches difference between my tow vehicle’s hitch and my trailer tongue height but now that I have a Turtleback I’m trying to get it to sit level while hooked up. With my setup that means I need a 0” drop mount for my Max Coupler. I have a 2” drop mount now, and every time I camp I have to unhook (plus such a short trailer looks a bit goofy going down the road nose-down)

I’ve been searching Curt’s catalog and the closest thing I can find is a 3/4” rise | 1-1/4” drop mount.
Any suggestions?

1-1/4” drop is effectively 0” rise. Pretty sure I saw that ’spec when I was looking to fit a ball to my Hilux.
Were I needing 0” for a MaxCoupler, And assuming they dont need a special bolt, would just get a section of 2” bar then drill appropriate holes.

I'm already accounting for the height of the Max Coupler hitch - the platform for mounting it needs to be 0" from the bottom of my receiver (if that makes sense).

Not sure about Curt, but there are definitely 0” drop hitch receivers. Or you can get a multi-ball receiver from Curt.

CURT 45001 Multi-Ball Trailer Hitch Ball Mount, 1-7/8, 2, 2-5/16-Inch Balls, Fits 2-Inch Receiver, 10,000 lbs https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004MDEV6K/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_fabc_vrzXFbCKGQ3VG

The problem with those is that the ball is welded on. Can't use a Max Coupler.

I may end up going that route - a 2" square tube with a 1" hole drilled through it is all I need.... I just don't have a drill press or a 1" bit. And paying someone to drill a piece of stock is likely to cost more than just buying a unit from a manufacturer... <sigh>

The receiver tube is only 1/4” thick and will collapse when you try to tighten it so you will need to weld in a tube

Another option is a tall hitch ball

Yea, structural issues are a concern. I use a Max Coupler, so a tall hitch ball isn't an option. :(

Have you considered flipping the standard drop to a 3/4” rise and adjusting the trailer suspension to match the tow vehicle?

I used a 1-3/4” drop from Reese for my max coupler and it worked out nicely with the centerline of the trailer frame matching the centerline of the receiver pretty well.

a further out suggestion, but I suspectthe max coupler would work “upside down” if that aligned better. Pulling is pulling and pivoting is pivoting... it doesn’t really care.
