Don’t go cheap on o2 sensors. They are critical to fuel mixture management and performance overall.

Denso won't be $1K, roughly $50 each (Rockauto, Amazon etc...) I've been running Denso aftermarket in my '05 for probably 80K miles

I'm Getting Around To It
My vote also for the Denso at Rock Auto. My 95 SR in federal emissions form only has two, one before and one after the catalytic converter. The one before any converter(s) you may have serves to feedback to the ECU and helps it determine mixture, etc. The one after the converter is basically a yes/no switch that just tells the ECU everything is working properly; it does not make the ECU adjust anything. I bought a Denso for the pre-cat and a lesser expensive one for the after-cat sensor. Seems to work and I do pass the IM240 (roller test) emissions test.
