Astro body lift question.

We just acquired a 2005 ASTRO AWD. We plan on lifting it soon. I have been doing research on lift kits. All these kits come with 2" body spacers.
My question is why only 2" spacers? Why couldn't you use a 3" spacer?

The reason I am asking s because I have 3" spacers left from previous builds.

I'm about to find out why they don't use 3" instead of two once I heal from surgery...

Definitely read the link posted for the thread on AstroSafari.com and my thoughts in the link I posted.The 2" spacer kits are very easy without much other work required whereas 3" spacers require a bit more work since it pretty much stretches everything connected to the body another inch, like extended steering shaft, longer or modified power steering lines, possibly transmission cooler lines, wiring, etc but still very doable.

I prefer the 3" spacers with 30"-31" tires as you don't have to run as much torsion lift to clear.

What gear ratio is your van? If you post in the 4wd van section, you may get more response.
