You don't have to bid on lots with Witham, they also have vehicles in stock at http://www.witham-sv.com/index1.html

Note that the military vehicles often lack some of the feature that are taken for granted like power steering and air conditioning.

They do sometimes offer some older vehicles that are easy to import. I just missed out on a Series II Land Rover that had 5000 miles on it, used for military displays in Hong Kong.

Just curious, and please forgive my ignorance, but is this a viable source for the U.S.? Can a 90 or 110 be imported into the U.S.? If so, would the cost be prohibitive? Does anyone have any idea what the ballpark cost would be for one of these new 90's or 110's?

Seeing these really excite me. They are exactly what I have been looking for - rugged, utilitarian vehicles with out a bunch of foo foo, soccer mom options.

Any insight from this great body of knowledge would be greatly appreciated.
