I've been a lurker on these forums for a while browsing and decided to join up and show you my next build
A little about me,
I'm from Victoria, Australia
A friend and I have been talking about doing a bit more base camping and taking our young boys away more for about 12 months, last week I pulled the pin and bought a single cab hilux tub with canopy on a purpose built trailer, I bought it last week for the pricely sum of $350
It has tool box on the front with dividers, Water tank mounted underneath, 12V battery system with a small solar panel and LED lights mounted around the canopy.
I have been looking for something a little more nimble than my Jayco to get my two youngest boys out camping with me
Immediate plans are:
Replace taillights (they are faded and the lenses are cracked)
Give it a tidy up
Get the trailer registered
Use the heck out of it!!
Longer term plans:
Build a drawer/storage system for inside the tub
The first picture is when I bought it, the second is after replacing the canopy and wheels and tyres
