Hi,
Ok, Help me find what I must be missing!
I have mounted two aux lights.
I also have mounted a relay.
From the relay there are three sets of wires:
- Two wires running to the battery +/-
- Two wires running to the lights where the like wires from each light join together with the +/- from the relay.
- Three wires going to a switch. Blue, Red and Black. The switch is on/off toggle with a red indicator light.
With everything connected I toggle the on/off switch - the red indicator light illuminates and the relay makes a click noise but the aux lights don't illuminate.
I tried bypassing the relay and took the +/- wires from the aux lights directly to the battery. The aux lights work.
Then, with the relay back in the system I tried changing the order of the Red, Blue and Black wires connected to the on/off switch. The aux lights never illuminated regardless of the combinations I tried and eventually one of the combinations caused the 30amp fuse, which is inline going to the battery, to blow.
So, what am I missing?
Could the relay or on/off switch be bad?
Thanks
Brian
