Awning & Tent combo question

Been doing a fair amount of research, which has yielded probable selection of the ARB Awning and a RV-4 Oztent. However, I have 2 unanswered questions.

1) I have a LR3 with the frontrunner rack which is 2155mm long. It would seem that the 2500mm wide awning is going to look way out of place and the 2000mm a better fit. Any input from others on size of awning relative to rack length?

2) Can the ARB awning attach to the oztent with either of the oztent attachments made for this purpose and if so which one? Maybe this isn't a big deal and having one overlap the other is better anyway, except in rain.

I don't have the ARB awning, but I know that in researching the Oztent (which i'm considering) there is an awning/caravan "Connector" that will connect with our Fiamma F45 as it has an industry standard attachment rail. So maybe this is what will work??

I'll go with the 2000mm ARB awning, just seems like the overall best price/value and had lots of reasonably priced add on options. There is no sail track on the arb but possibly one can be mounted, epoxy'd or drilled on so the oztent connector can be used. Oztent customer service answered my question in 24 hours, ARB never responded but from pics you can see there is a rigid aluminum bar, but no sail track is visible. Maybe there is on on underside. I'd get both even if they could not be attached.

As for tent, probably Rv-4. Dimensions are large enough for a pair of cots to go depth wise which will make for a more comfortable wife and net more traveling!

Haha GORM, I hear ya on the cozy wife. Definitely having an impact on my search for the ideal setup as well. Sounds good man, post some pics when you get all of your goodies.

i mounted my OZTRAIL awning to my Xterra with the TJM Yulara. but im working on mounting the 2 things to the same rails. so that i can remove both together.
