What are people using for this sealant? Googling 3M 8663 returns nothing related to automotive.......

Looking for that thing i just had in my hand...
Here's the paper gasket http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/toyota-suzuki-solid-axle-aisin-asco-hub-gasket-inner-round-style.html

Mitsubishi seemed to glue theirs on, I have also found them to have a large O-ring on many occasions seemingly installed by Mitsubishi although I have never found a part number for it.

Here's the sealant https://www.amazon.com/1000A992-GENUINE-MITSUBISHI-ORIGINAL-TRANSMISSION/dp/B01F29QBWE

...and MR241229 is the part number for front the hub shim kit, these go under the CV snap ring often times after installing new hubs you need to reshim the outer joint. Usually they're close enough though.

Hope this helps

I've also had good luck in that application with Yamabond 4. It's semi-drying and stays the slightest bit flexible. Thinner than RTV so goes on OK. I am told Harley guys often use that to re-seal split crankcases, which are notorious leakers.
