Back Seat Sleeping Options for Kids?

Hey all,
I'm trying to figure out a good option to allow my kids to lay down and sleep in the back seat of my Chevy 2500 on long drives. When we have long drives we like to leave early, 3 or 4am, to allow the kids to sleep for the first few hours of the drive.

Anyone come up with any good solutions?

I don't believe seatbelts were designed to work while laying down. (Safety 1st, haha)

When our kids were young they slept in a sitting position with travel pillows around their necks / shoulder to prevent their necks from getting sore.

Seemed to work. Sitting never stopped a tired kid from zonking out on our drives as far as i could tell.

I suppose that it would be possible to work out a horizontal 3 point belt system somehow, however the concern would be that the kids could simply slide out in a collision - you'd really need a full harness, and this would probably be less comfortable than a 3 point belt in the normal seating position. I agree that when my kids didn't seem to have a problem sleeping upright in the vehicle.
