i dont know about that. i had one on my work truck and the thing was just about worthless. couldnt fit anything on it. wasnt wide enough for a sheet of plywood and wasnt strong enough to hold more than a couple of sticks of 8" pvc pipe. about the only thing it WAS good for was holding my strobes.

Possibile options I would try:
Canoe over the roof
ladder over the roof
rolled carpet over the roof

mount rescue lights to it
mount Hellas for the rear to it
mount cb antenna to it (they make brackets specifically for this)
mount hilift to it

probably other uses if I think hard

Appreciate your opinion but would like to hear more.

looks like a small version of a head-ache rack. I think they are used to haul ladders so they don't scratch roof area.
I have been looking for a used rack-it one to possibly use it to mount a couple of lights and my cb anteanna.:smiley_drive:

I have had two on my company trucks in the last 12 years, after about 3 years the powder coating starts rusting, admittedly with little washing and lots of salt spray.
I also have not rolled my truck at work so I can't say how well it holds up to abuse, the Back Rack only holds my toolbox.

Do you only tend to roll your truck at home?:ylsmoke:

I thought the only purpose of these were to keep cargo from smashing through the rear window and hitting you in the head.
