Baja 1000 Prerun - Anyone interested?

I'm driving from Race Mile 695 (San Ignacio) to RM 863 (Hwy 53 above Insurgentes). My prerun plans are as follows (don't laugh)...

Day 1:
Fly to Loreto and rent a Jeep Wrangler
Drive up to San Ignacio via Hwy 1
Day 2:
Prerun 200+ miles, then campout
Day 3:
Finish last 100 miles for prerunning and head back up to Loreto
Day 4:
Return vehicle and fly home.

What kind of range does a Jeep wrangler have?

How are you flying into Loreto? Private plane?

Depends on how your wheeling it. 300 miles max.

My codriver and I are flying from LAX - Alaska Airlines, nonstop.

If I figure 250 mile range - is that safe?
