Baja Rack... ya or na?

I've been looking at getting a roof rack for my 100 Series LC. I found a group buy on another forum for Baja Rack that would put the price at about $700 if I pick it up. I've been doing some reading on them, and in particularly on IH8MUD, I found a lot of post about people talking about how crappy they are. Some of the problems were mounts rusting out, not fittings correctly, etc. What's everyone's opinion of them here? If these were problems, have they been fixed now? I'm willing to spend the extra money to get something better, but I am drawn to the price point of these.

We installed one on our LandCruiser 'for the family' project last year and did not have any issue with fittings. We installed a large James Baroud tent and an ARB awning on it.
I was actually impressed with how sturdy they were, the packaging, etc. And their customer service is really good.

It is early to tell for rust but I did not see anything different than your typical power-coated items - they all start to rust once you scratched them and expose the metal so just watch for that and "paint-touch" it as needed.

For that price I would buy it.

I've had mine for 3+ years and I've used it quite a bit (including walking around on it, putting bikes skis and kayaks on, etc.). Still in great condition and love the versatility

i have two and i think they're fantastic. i have universal fit ones since they don't have a yukon specific model so i can't say much about their mounts but the main rack and accessories are good imo. have hi-lift mounts and the light rack although i don't use the light rack anymore since i switched to leds. the racks i have are the mega-mule and a universal exp rack
