Columbia Overland is proud to introduce BajaRack (www.BajaRack.com) as the perfect complement to our existing product line. With this announcement we have become the first and only dealer of BajaRack in the entire Pacific Northwest. For those who aren't familiar with BajaRack they have been producing racks and “Expedition Style” racks for FJ Cruisers for a few years with great success. They have recently announced a complete product line for the Range Rover Classic, Discovery I & II, LR3 with the Range Rover Sport rack (available 12/2009).

We're offering introductory pricing for Expedition Portal members until Friday November 20th as well as flat rate shipping of $100 from Portland, pickup will be free. Please note that lead time for some of the Land Rover racks is currently 3 weeks due to demand.

BTW this isn't just for Land Rover owners, we'll honor it on any of BajaRacks current product line (racks only, no accessories)!

Looks like the D1 is missing the roof rails, that makes the install a bit complicated.

The one in the pic is. I have not list all the racks. They have 4 options for each Discovery. A low profile and high profile standard rack (Think SD style) and a low and high profile Expedition style (shown). The low profile racks come with everything needed to remove the rails and it looks like they will clear the factory sunroofs to boot! 2.75" clearance between the rack and the roof.

Our website has all the specs, pricing and a few more pictures. We're still trying to get pictures of all the racks but they just aren't available yet.

Can you post a close up of the roof rail clamps?

They look like the will be vulnerable to damage when being dragged along trees.

The one thing people over look on these racks that SD hit it out of the park on is the roof rail clambs. The SD racks act as roof sliders and really protect the truck, part of why he work so well for that is the smooth snag free design of the clamps.

I'll try and get those pics this weekend. I definitely know what you mean about the SD rack footing. Here in the PNW we have our fair share of trees that never get trimmed...

it has potential, but they need to redesign a lot of things.

do they come without that blatant advertisement on the front?

BajaRacks worked with OffRoving.com on the LR3 prototype, and they used them on their Continental Divide earier this summer. They worked out really well. Quite, stable, strong, and light, and a fraction of the cost of my Hannibal.

As a side note- the LR3 pictured is ours. The rack with the spare mount is different from the aireal pic, in that the front mount has been improved, and the rack lengthened to the end of the rear glass for an improved fit and visual cue. The fellas at Baja Rack were great to work with, excellent quality, and very receptive to input- best of luck Sergio!!!
