Banks Monster Exhaust

Does anyone have experience with this exhaust system for the 4.0L Frontier? I understand quality and fitment are tops, and I don't doubt this in a Banks product. Mostly I am interested in sound (tone is a good thing but noise is not) and changes in performance, including fuel economy. I see that Banks claims an increase in power, but there is no data on where that power is made, i.e., higher in the power band than stock. The Frontier is already a bit weak on the bottom end and I wouldn't want to make the situation worse just for a bit of exhaust tone.

Thanks in advance.

Banks makes a good quality product, but they are a little overpriced in my opinion for what it's worth. There are a lot of good systems out there that will perform as well as the Banks, Aeroturbine mufflers are a great thing to have on your vehicle, I have one, and theoretically lower EGT's and sound very nice. The most important thing of all is have a good and reputable dealer do the install who will do the routing properly w/o any contact concerns afterwards. Welded all the way around is nice too, but I would have my cat as a bolt on if I was do my system over again.

Read up on it on clubfrontier. It was a huge deal when they first released it, and now you don't hear anything about it anymore.... there is a reason for that. It uses 3" tubing all the way back, which is WAAY to big for the 4.0L. 2.25-2.5" is what we need, people were getting horrible resonance, and lost a lot of torque.
