Bantam T3C

Hello,
Here looking for ideas for a Bantam Trailer. A buddy gave me this, and I have since removed the floor, and gotten a replacement ready to be installed. I am sanding the old paint, and may have it sandblasted to finish it off. I have plans to use a bedliner for the inside, and repaint olive drab. I am still looking for advice and other ideas so far. Here are some pics.

Thanks everyone. My plans at this point are to get it ready to paint, and get the floor in. I would like to keep it pretty close to original, but will be making a few modifications. I would like to build a lid, and am looking into axles if anyone has any suggestions.

Also, I have read many reviews on bedliner products...I am thinking of going with monstaliner. Does anyone have experience with this product?

I carry a small Tuffy Jeep toolbox in the front of my Bantam with seldom used items - jack stand, distilled water, antifreeze. Behind that my spare tire and camping gear.

I took a sheet of plywood, covered it with outdoor carpet and tie-downs and put in at the top of the trailer on the small lip around the inside edge. I did cut it out for all the stake pockets though. I then have sides/front about 18" tall that consist of 1X6 cedar bolted to 2x3 stakes. The front corners are secured by stake-bed angled brackets which hold the corners tight.

The tarp is layed over some 1/4"? x 1.5" fiberglass pieces which I bend to produce a bow. As these exert pressure on the bed sides, I use a small chain across the trailer to keep the sides from pushing out. The tarp is secured with rubber straps. While not ideal, it is water/weatherproof and works well.

Thanks for the reply. I may go that route on the top until I figure out what I want/need. I have been looking at options for a storage box in the front. I have some old ammo cans so was thinking of doing something with those as well.

Nice Bantam. As far as Monstaliner, I've seen some Jeeps done, but not a trailer. Check out my Bantam build, might give you some ideas... I've been at it for quite a while.

I'm going to LineX. Having the entire trailer sprayed then I'm going to paint a color that I don't know yet, maybe tan, or????

Yep on the monster liner. I rolled on 2 coats over two years ago onto the bed and fenders of my M416 trailer. It went on smoothly. Just be sure and pay close attention to the prep. The directions about getting it clean of grease, oil, grime is extremely important. We had to redo a spot (well, exactly the size of a beer can's bottom ring lol) in the bed area. It didn't stick to the metal like the other 99 percent. We just sanded off the loose area of Bed-liner and re-rolled it. Nobody has been able to see the patch. (We made it a beer drinking game with the new guys.)
It's a good product.
