Woke up to a cloudy morning on tues. departure day. Made coffee and got on the road by 7 am. We took the paved (sort of) road to Guachochi where we took the right turn towards Parral. Creel bound people would be bearing left. The road was reduced to 1 lane for much of the drive up and out of the canyon and that 1 lane was mostly potholes and rocks from slides. Fantastic drive! The switchbacks where great.IMG_20180327_083143_1 (1).jpg

Some shots on the way out.IMG_20180327_081611 (1).jpg

My photos don´t do any justice to this place. Truly an incredible part of the planet.

We didn´t have any narco encounters on the road and never saw any Federal police or Army/Military presence.

I´d like to thank Frenchie for his advice and Alvaro from E32 maps. I was a little concerned doing this trip solo (+wife and daughter). Now I can´t wait to get back there!

Saludos g
