I'm with Sven. Here in the US, you wouldn't be able to pull into a gas station without someone asking about it. But in my opinion, its really hideous, buck-toothed, disproportionate, and doesn't complement the utilitarian lines of the XJ.

If you're going to change the appearance of your Jeep just to be different, I think you should forgo the "bolt-on ugly" 2500 clip, and fabricate something using your own craftsmanship and ingenuity - like this guy did.

I'm starting to feel like the first guy who swapped a YJ front clip to a CJ... and vice versa. :shakin:

I like that XJ front clip, but would never put it on my wheeling rig since it's not something that's easily replaced.

Sorry to wake a sleeping dog, but I actually like the 2500 front clip. I think it'd look really good with an ARB bull bar on it. In fact, I like the slightly changed tail lights as well. I wish Jeep would've done this in 2002 instead of the Liberty. Although my opinion is biased because I'm an XJ owner, I think the 2500 Cherokee would've sold EXTREMELY well. Nothing against Liberty's, they can be quite capable vehicles, but I'm just a little sour over the fact that I can't buy a 'new' Cherokee.
Well, I could, but I'd have to move to China and settle for a four cylinder. Bring back the 4.0!!!!

Oh well. Things change. Now I'm kinda itchin' to drive one of those diesel Mahindras...

What I see in the photo is an increased frontal cooling area and nicely executed Euro headlight pods with what might be Lexan or acrylic covers. Not such a bad idea really. If the dual circle taillights are somehow a part of the makeover, I would skip them as I don't like the Dodge/Jeep look at all.

Its going to be awile until its done as I'm in the middle of a move right now. I did get some stuff for about 4 other people so it will be a few weeks before the stuff starts showing up. You can search for it under NAXJA and there is a thread there with how I ended up getting it over to the US. I agree on the taillights but it does freshen up the rear end of the 84-96 XJ's, but they will not fit the 97-01 bodys.
Plus you cant beat the cost :)
