Best fit Maggiolina for Horizon AT?

Hi, we want to mount a Maggiolina Air Top to our Horizon trailer and was wondering if anyone has successfully mounted the carbon medium size unit (57” x 83” x 13”) to the 4 standard mount bars on the Horizon. I have an awning mounted in the usual place over the kitchen side box that has been relocated to the far outer edge of the box for a little extra room. I'm concerned that the Maggiolina footprint is too large for the trailer, seems the width at 57" could just squeeze in without snagging the awning or crashing into the other side box, but the length of 83" compared to the trailer lid at 54" seems an awful lot of overhang. We definitely want the ease of the Air Top (a canvas RTT doesn't appeal to us) and would love the larger size of the medium version. Anyone have of of these mounted on their trailer? Also does the ladder fit on the side or do the side boxes get in the way? I would love to hear advice and even better see pics of your set up, thanks for any feedback.

Mario should be able to answer your questions. I haven't seen the set up that you are looking at but I have seen Horizons with the autohome unit on top. Some of the Horizon trailers have three crossbars for the tent mount. This may be a thought for your idea.

May I ask why you are not interested in the RTT such as EasyAwn? We were not sure if we would like the idea either but we went ahead and bought the Horizon with the RTT and we really love it. We have spent a fair amount of time including a five day trip and a three day trip and the tent was a great home away from home each time. They set up very easily and hold up to wind and rain. With two adults and three Corgi's we still have room to be comfortatble. Also, something nice, there is no overhang or very little.

Thanks for the info guys, Martyn I have a standard Horizon set up with the 7" cross bars already installed as the owner before me had a canvas RRT installed not sure what model as I bought it without the tent). I guess my question is what Maggiolina Air Top will fit ie: will all the sizes fit OK, or will the bigger footprint of the larger size models crash into the side box when the main cargo lid is opened with the tent shell installed? I'm really set on the Air Top model. Thanks again guys.
