Best Lift kit for 2009 Tacoma

I just bought an '09 Tacoma and am looking to put a small lift kit on it. Any suggestions? I would like to get something that is really good instead of half-assing it.

King, Fox & Icon are all excellent coil over options. OME is a great set it and forget it option.

Impossible question to answer w/o details of weight, usage, etc. Read the build threads here and elsewhere - lots of research ahead.

All great suggestions. AllPro has a great kit called "Lola" (named after the owners daughter). But more info might help us narrow it down our suggestions. Do you tow with your rig? Armor? How much extra weight is on the truck? Style of off-roading you do?

I'm loving my DR/ICON coilovers up front. Id say it depends on your wants/needs. OME is a great install it and never worry about it again for a while option. I would have gone with OME but found my coilovers used and rebuilt them myself.

I love my toytec coilovers. At least with coilovers you can adjust over time to level the vehicle due to additional weight. With OME you kinda need to know up front what you want and leave it.

I think I am just going to go with the TRD kit for now. With the extended warranty, kid on the way, and not much time for true offroading other than the occasional fishing trip out west, it is the safest option. A few years down the road when the extended warranty is up I can upgrade to the good stuff. Thanks for all the suggestions.

There was recently a similar thread for a 4runner, he ended up going icon after much discussion and riding in a truck with them. I highly recommend what ever you do, ride in a truck with a similar setup. I love icon, as do most of my friends. You won't find a better mix of on and off road driving comfort.
