BFG MT T/A KM2 report

Expedition Leader
Jason De Monto of Airpark Jeep in Tucson posted his impressions
of the new BF Goodrich Mud Terrain T/A KM2 tires. Here's the
tire on Jason's jeep

Jason reports that, even at highway speeds, the KM2 tires are
as quiet as the BFG AT KO tires that a lot of people use.
The KM2 tires offer a lot of traction off road. The only complaint
I've read about the tire is its performance in deep mud is not
quite as good as the old Mud Terrain design.

Those tires come in mog sizes now (20x11 inch rims), I have a friend who is going to run a set so we'll see how they go with some heavy weight on them. He is a little concerned by the load rating as they are only 3500 pounds per tire and his mog is around 10500 empty.

I'll keep you posted on how they work out.

Just saw them at Costco again...Very nice.......Wonder how they are going to holdup for a daily driver type of a tire?????

Time will only tell!

Supposedly they run cooler than the Old Design (which they are still making) and the sidewalls are thicker. I'd be interested in these tires since they look to be agressive treads and teh quietness intreagues me. However, being from the NW, I think I may just be one of those wheelers that they won't work for. Pretty much from now till next june it's gonna be Muddy whereever you go.

Needs to get out more
The free 4 Wheel parts magazine has a fairly decent writeup on them. They tested them on a local trail here, in a 33 and 40 in size (IIRC)... Free magazine, why not subscribe?
