Howdy all! I just got back from an awesome excursion down to Big Bend National Park in southwest Texas near the Texas-Mexico border. The trip was phenomenal and the weather couldn't have been more perfect. We spent most of the weekend backpacking the South Rim of the park (13 mile trip) and also enjoyed a number of the park's wonderful four-wheel trails, in particular the Old Ore Road, River Road, Black Gap Trail, and Glenn Springs Road. Wow, talk about a blast! More about the trip will be told in the upcoming issue of JPFreek ( www.jpfreek.com ), but I've attached a few photo links to wet your appetite.
I definitely recommend visiting Big Bend at least once if you haven't done so before. Take care, and happy adventuring!
