I have a Black Series HQ19 and am also new to camping and overlanding. We have used our trailer a few times and loved it. I am concerned that somehow I inadvertently messed up our AGM batteries while the trailer has been stored for the winter. Out trailer is parked and plugged into 30 amp shore power at our barn. I noticed the inverter fan was constantly running, (which I didn't think was normal), so I turned off the inverter, and turned off the main power switch inside the cabin, (thinking the shore power would still keep the batteries topped off). After a couple weeks, I turned back on the power switch and the batteries were reading 9.5V. When I turned the inverter back on the batteries slowly creeped back up, (after a couple days), but when the trailer got some afternoon sun on the solar panels they jumped up to nearly 13V. I'm confused because I assumed the volts would or should always go up towards 13 when plugged in, but I haven't had it long enough or been to enough other places to really make a judgement. Right now, the only time I get a full 13V is when the unit is in full sun. Almost like the batteries are preferring sun to shore. I checked our electrical feed and we are getting a full 30amps at the plug. I'm also concerned that maybe when the batteries dipped down it caused permanent damage. Any thoughts? I have basically zero electrical or solar know how...obviously. Thanks, Joe
