Preparing for Zombies
Hi Folks. I am finally getting some funds here and there to start building my expedition vehicle. I have a 2012 Wrangler 4 door Unlimited Sport. Plans are 35" tires, a JK habitat top, and bumpers, winches, onboard air, and other goodies. Here is a current picture of the jeep.

I just recently installed IPF factory headlight replacements. They are alot better in my opinion and I recommend them to anyone.

Here are a couple pics from the install. I used their fatmax lights, they are really bright.

Factory light on the right, IPF on the left looking at the jeep.

When you look straight into them they are blue.

From and angle they are white.

But the lighting is a nice crisp white color. I like them. Do you?

i found the super-J bulbs that youre using to be inferior to quality high output bulbs, i also dont like the reflectors at all as they throw light in unnecessary places and they put out an excessive amount of glare. granted they're better than OEM - but there are much better options out there. i would not recommend IPF replacements to anyone.

The bulbs I am using are IPF Fatboy II Max White H4 Bulbs they look like this.

The Max White bulbs trade a slightly diminished output level for a higher temperature color that mimics that of many H.I.D. bulbs by utilizing a blue tinted glass envelope. These bulbs share a similar draw and have an optically equivalent output of 185 watt low beam and 140 watt high beam.

I like them and they seem really bright.

These are the super j bulbs you were talking about.

I have never seen them lighted and installed, but they are a bit different than what I am using. I would recommend the bulbs I am using to anyone. You can feel the heat off of them about 5 feet in front of the jeep.

I would have opted for Hella or Cibie upgrades.

I went with these because they were cheap and a better housing than the factory. The factory units were just terrible. I went from having being used to my grand cherokee with HIDs and my car with HIDS to the sad lighting in the wrangler.

2 Year Limited Warranty.

Parts Included
Headlamp Housings - Pair
H13 to H4 Harness - Pair

67.00 for an upgrade wasn't too bad. I plan on later adding fogs and roof lighting, I have the windshield KC's so these were a decent upgrade for the money.

Today I installed the driver and passenger switch pods from Rugged ridge, and also installed a place for 5 additional switches when the time comes. Here are some pics from the install.

I marked the area with a scribe.

Cut it out and just popped in the switch panel housing. This is a set that can be configured to any size you want.

Then I put switch plugs in there until I get switches to fill the holes.
