I saw a bit of info on here dating back to early '11 regarding this unit - for those that purchased, happy with the decision? Is there another route you would have gone?

I have a 220amp alt so the 500a continuous is really nice for me...plus i like the remote & manual switch.

Thanks!

I installed mine about a month ago. Flawless operation. IMO it is far superior to other intelligent solenoids, as the Blue Sea unit is a magnetic latch relay. Very low power draw when latched. The mechanical option is nice to have if the primary battery is so discharged that the remote switch does not operate, as well as for safety isolation when working on the remote battery connections. No regrets, and I know of no other option that would provide the same functionality. I'll post up a pic in a few minutes.

Great deals you guys got! I paid north of $170 for mine through PKYS.com. Peter is great to deal with though. I also bought the BlueSea 100A power hub and installed that as part of the overall updgrade. I will be hanging a Xantrex inverter from that.
